About the Series
The A.R.S Series is a new one-make series which is totally different to any one-make series that comes before it. The A.R.S series has been developed by motorsport identity Wayne Russell.
The purpose of the Series is to offer a truly affordable, tin-top racing platform for talented drivers emerging from go karting. The intention is to bridge the gap for families aiming to transition young talent into tin-top racing, at an affordable investment. Further to this we see the ARS Series as being a feeder category into bigger categories such as TCR Australia.
What makes this Series unique, is it will offer an ‘academy’ or educational program that will offer drivers and their parents an insight into the business of motorsport – including media and public relations, sponsorship, brand development, health and conditioning, mentorship, legalities and other unforesen commercial realities. That journey is a grossly overlooked factor to condition and prepare emerging talent.
Wayne Russell – Managing Director
Wayne Russell is a stalwart of Australian motorsport. With experience as a racer himself in go karts and speedway, Russell emerged in V8Supercars between 1994 and 1998 as a privateer against big names like Peter Brock and Dick Johnson.
In recent years, Russell has run entries for his sons Drew and Aaren in Super 2 as we all as the main game of Supercars where Aaren ran alongside David Reynolds at Erebus and later for Nissan Motorsport as a co driver to Andre Heimgartner.
Today, Russell is the owner of Go-Karts-Go, one of Australia’s most successful network of hire go kart complexes and an expert in the development of young talent on track.
John Ruggiero – Commercial Director
John Ruggiero is the Managing Director of renown motorsport management company Push Talent Management. Ruggiero is credited for the success of David Reynolds’ booming career as well as the resurgence of Andre Heimgartner.
